hey...im looking at getting a specialized for next season as well...same problem with being a mini-shredder (5'2) and trying to get a small enough bike. big hits are super nice to ride...im thinking a demo 9 because they look so damn good...but might be too much bike for me to handle. thoughts??

the very FIRST thing i do when i get to work is check out the POD....it usually amps me up somewhat to start my day. As much as i am obviously all for chicks getting POD i think they need to be ripping it more and not just be like 'im a girl so get kudos for even being on a bike'. Don't want to sound like a hater here cause but i think the pic of my first ever hip jump at whistler should have beaten this hands down as POD.....sure its lacking in style but the cluelessness of what im doing and how much fun im having totally comes accross.....anyone else agree?

I'm not sure about the newer Big Hits.I had one years ago and really liked it. I wanted to get another one a few years later, but the Small was too big for me...actually it was the length of the top tube that was the major problem. I was all stretched out to get at the handlebars. The Demos are really nice...but are pretty burly for a smaller rider. I have heard this about the Giant Glory as well. Not nimble...but great for going straight down the mountain. In the end I have no idea what I'll be riding this year either.

The riding in Edmonton is terrible! I moved here from Kamloops, BC last November. There really isn't much for mountain biking here. So on weekends I pack up and head to the mountains Smile I just got back from riding Silver Star and Sun Peaks. So good!
